Midwestern folk rocker Lissie just released her gorgeous new covers EP Thank You To The Flowers, a collection of stunning covers of songs by female artists that Lissie admires.
Each song has been recorded as a form of therapy, using her powerful voice to infuse each track with her own emotions to simultaneously lift her spirit and celebrate the women that inspired her to do so. The EP follows her other popular covers, including 'Go Your Own Way' and 'Dreams' by Fleetwood Mac, 'Bad Romance' by Lady Gaga, ‘Pursuit Of Happiness’ by Kid Cudi and 'Nothing Else Matters' by Metallica, which have collectively amassed 57 million streams and counting. Her most recent studio album 'Castles' debuted at #11 on the Current Alternative Albums chart in the U.S., with her previous studio albums all making their way into the top 20. Her debut album 'Catching A Tiger' album has now sold over 50,000 copies in the U.S., and more than 300,000 worldwide, and Lissie has racked up over 200 million streams across her entire catalogue. Lissie also appeared in the most recent season of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks with NME saying of her “intense” performance: “Closing the episode with the Stevie Nicks-esque ‘Wild West,’ Rock Island’s most exciting troubadour more than earned her Lynch-commissioned screen time.”
