UK Rap-Metal quintet Hacktivist was formed in 2011 when their experimental recording of Grime style rapping over Djent Metal riffs became a local and then viral sensation.
The Djent/Grime crossover was so well received that the sound was quickly pursued with a full band and the release of self-titled EP 'Hacktivist' immediately saw the boys at live shows and very soon after international tours playing to massive audiences.
Hacktivist suffered unexpected complications resulting in the delayed release of first full studio album 'Outside the Box' and then some changes to the original line-up. However the group now describe themselves as being stronger than ever with a new album around the corner and big plans for the future.
Known for extremely high-energy performances and a unique formula that mixes genres in a way quite unlike any other, this band are reaching new listeners at a rapid rate whilst consistently challenging the way we think about our role in a post-modern society.
HACKTIVIST is:
Jot Maxi (Vocals)
J. Hurley (Vocals)
James Hewitt (Guitar, Production)
Josh Gurner (Bass, Backing Vocals)
Rich Hawking (Drums)
Represented by UNFD - UNIFIED Music Group and 30th Century Management.
