ROADKILL take on the classic old school Speed / Thrash Metal, which had its heyday in the 80s with bands like Metallica, Overkill, Exodus, Slayer, Destruction, Flotsam & Jetsam. The style and sound of the band are partly reminiscent of legendary Thrash Metal albums a la "Kill 'em all".
Fast-paced, straightforward and yet stocky with sophisticated breaks and off-beats, the sawing riffs directly drill into the listener's brain and inevitably force any metalhead to headbang.
Remarkable with ROADKILL is that guitarist Peter and bassist Mani split the lead vocals. One could inevitably get the impression that James Hetfield and Lemmy were together on stage. Töpe (guitarist) takes on the part of James and Mani (bassist) the one of Lemmy. It comes as no surprise that cover versions of Motörhead's "Ace of Spades" and Metallica's "The Four Horsemen" appear in the bombastic live set.
So you could also talk about the new "Three Horsemen" at ROADKILL.
