Postindustrial Poets emerged in 2020, with a series of innovative singles. Splitting their time between London and Luxembourg, musically they are harder to pin down - but always give full value.
Down by the Docks (Listening to Rhythm and Blues) mixed a funky rhythm and rock guitar to a story.
I Was in Two Minds - written on a ferry with a borrowed pencil - deals with the indecision of parting: call it a day, or try to maintain a long distance relationship. It is still their most streamed song.
The Rhythm Radio Show. This featured the "Eric Burdon meets Devo" vibe and witty lyrics of I gave you my disease (which reached the top 4 in the CoolCast Top20).
(Thinking ´bout) Brian Jones fetes the Stones founder with slide guitar and a stripped-back sound. It gets regular plays on rock radio.
In November, It Happens All the Time featured a late night groove built around a bluesy guitar and a jazzy organ. Perhaps their most emotional lyric too...
Next from the Poets will be the psychedelic, jangling guitar sound of That’s When You Blew My Mind.
