The band play homegrown roots music inspired by Ry Cooder, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and The Flaming Lips, as well as countrymusic, punk and various mexican bands. Stranger The Horse combines hauntingly beautiful songs with rock’n’roll energy, the borderless sounds of world music and tight vocal-harmonies. Especially when the band is playing live you can expect a rhythmic and alluring, strange but yet familiar universe.
Julian Falck, the main songwriter in Stranger The Horse is no stranger to mixing various music styles and genres. Starting out as a drummer in his father’s band, only 11-years old at the time and playing live almost every weekend until his early 20s, Julian learned to navigate between country, bluegrass, blues and rock on any given night. He was further educated in music as a producer, as well as writing his own music, some of which has been used in Danish television productions such as ”Borgen”, ”Forbrydelsen” and ”Broen”.
