"My music is a result of simultaneous fascination with the sonic quality of decay and experiments with the sound of classical string instruments. I try to look for interesting style combinations, juxtapose distant moods and create a narrative, film-like vibe. Moving between electronics and the raw tones of classical instruments, I create engaging, intuitive structures. I put together sounds of tape synth, music box, raw cello and fragments of recordings from public domain. The search for new sounds led me through felt-muted, processed piano’s, dissonance strings and vibrating, modulated synthesizers."
In my soundtracks and film scores I frequently collaborate with Marta Zalewska, an insanely talented girl with absurd ability to play every instrument ever created by humans. Photos: ©Norma Ilnicka
