An actor by day, composer and director at night. Winner of prestigious 2020 Papaya Young Directors competition.
I don't hide my weakness for healthy melancholy and sad affirmations. Good stuff is welcome too, though. I can't specify my genre precisely enough, therefore I use an inseparable set of influences and inspirations: snow, empty streets, Soundgarden album from 1994, back entrances to gray tenements, mountains in winter, city in winter, everything in winter. And the smell of walnuts. And all this is best at night. I have been creating original sound stories since 2016 and the original audiodrama "Who is Max Winckler?".
"My music is a result of simultaneous fascination with the sonic quality of decay and experiments with the sound of classical string instruments. I try to look for interesting style combinations, juxtapose distant moods and create a narrative, film-like vibe. Moving between electronics and the raw tones of classical instruments, I create engaging, intuitive structures. I put together sounds of tape synth, music box, raw cello and fragments of recordings from public domain. The search for new sounds led me through felt-muted, processed piano’s, dissonance strings and vibrating, modulated synthesizers."
In my soundtracks and film scores I frequently collaborate with Marta Zalewska, an insanely talented girl with absurd ability to play every instrument ever created by humans.
