On the single, Nancie says, “this song is about checking in on all your friends and not letting them deal with things alone. A friend had asked me to send her a text when I got home safe and it got me thinking about how powerful friendship has been in my life and how much I value it. We all want our friends to succeed and would do anything to help them, so it can be hard to watch them go through hard times.”
Hailing from Warrnambool in regional Victoria, Nancie picked up the guitar and started writing songs from an early age. At only 19 years old, she brings a confident live show – honed from over 6 years of tirelessly performing on stages, cutting her teeth at pub gigs while being too young to buy a drink at the bar. Around the time of her high school final exams, she supported the likes of Ball Park Music, Jack River, Tia Gostelow and Gretta Ray. She has also performed at triple j’s Live At The Steps 2017, St Kilda Festival and Queenscliff Music Festival.
