The 18 year old is no newcomer to the stage, having spent the last six years tirelessly working her way around the local scene. The hard work is paying off for Schipper, who was included in the 2017 Port Fairy Folk Festival line up, and has supported the likes of Little Georgia, Joe Mungovan and Riley Pearce. She was the triple j Unearthed competition winner for ‘Live at the Steps’, which saw her open for Tired Lion, Ruby Fields and Jack River to a crowd of thousands.
July sees the release of her new single Long Fall, which eventuated after listening to a ‘lot of sad pop songs’ - think Middle Kids x Lorde. “I was inspired by those big TV moments where one character tries to save another when its already too late. As a viewer, I felt emotionally compelled to help, whilst knowing I was powerless to change the situation.”
Long Fall is out Friday 6th July 2018.
