As any indie-band should, Février somewhat pretentiously chose their name from something as mundane as the French name of the month of February.
One of the members was in France once. The Tromsø-based quintet plays high-energetic, synth based dream-pop, as demonstrated on their self-titled EP from 2016. Through the singles "Le Havre" and "Short Is Tall" from their upcoming album, the band showcase a sound which is more grandiose than their lo-fi shoegaze-inspired early work. Nevertheless, the Février-sound keeps its reference to post-rock, David Byrnesque new-wave and dreamy indie while keeping a pop alibi.
