Steve Mekoudja is an art director, author and poet. In March 2015, his debut short story “TalaNgai” that raises the issue of mass rape of women in Congo, was awarded the Prix Stéphane Hessel de la jeuneécriture francophone at the Salon du Livre de Paris, the biggest book fair in France.
Currently, he studies computer sciences at the TechnischeUniversität in Berlin. He wrote fictional texts, which were published in magazines and literary reviews such as Stadtsprachen and FU Review. " In November 2018, he published his project Rituals (Selection of the poetry film festival Zebra 2019 in Germany) which contains a musical and poetic album and a short film. Rituals is a mix of music, poetry, dance and cinema. With this project, Steve Mekoudja addresses several topics such as toxic masculinity, the notion of Africanity. He is currently working on his first novel, his second album and his second film.
