Danny was brought up in Wrexham, North Wales and was influenced by his older brother’s love of 60’s music. His brother would constantly be playing albums by The Beatles, The Kinks and The Who, which eventually inspired Danny to pick up a guitar at the age of 11. After going through the usual rigmarole of playing covers in local pubs as a teen, Danny found a passion for songwriting and started trying to sneak his own bands songs into the sets.
Despite minor success with his former band ‘JKLMNO’, he decided to venture out solo. Taking influence from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles and Frank Turner, Danny started travelling up and down the country playing up and down playing his songs to any one who would listen. This eventually led to him being taking on tours with artists such as James Bourne (Busted), Beans on Toast, Jaret Reddick (Bowling for Soup), Bry, Dave Giles and the Candle Thieves, as well opening up shows for Frank Turner, Bastille, The Struts, The Subways, Charlie Simpson (Busted), McFly amongst many others.
