Little Feather is the stage name of Liz Sharpe, a contemporary singer/songwriter from Pikeville, Kentucky who made her major-label debut in 2017.
As the second cousin of both Loretta Lynn
and Patty Loveless
, it may have been inevitable that Sharpe would fall in love with music as a child. Learning piano at an early age, she also sang in her local church choir but, as an adult, she left her Appalachian home to attend school in Florida. She later went to Australia to attend college, studying classical piano. Finishing that up, she headed back to the States and settled in Nashville. Initially, she supported various musicians as a keyboardist, eventually finding a group of five like-minded musicians to form the backing group for Little Feather. This group included guitarist Sam Brooker, guitarist Shannon Campbell
, guitarist Pat Boyer, bassist Dylan Rowe, and drummer Aaron Spraggs, who also is Sharpe's husband. Curb
released Little Feather's eponymous debut in April 2017. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
