Cardinal Sound has quickly made a mark in the short time he has been producing and mixing music. Carving his own avenue into the UK underground scene, the young DJ has already achieved an impressive amount - ranging from establishing the rapidly-growing Strawberries & Creem Festival in Cambridge, to presenting a Drum & Bass residency show on Reprezent Radio since 2017.
Taking inspiration from the golden era of Jungle & Hardcore and blending this with a love of Reggae Dancehall & UK Garage, Cardinal Sound’s DJ sets are guaranteed to surprise even the most eclectic D&B crowd. Dedicating himself wholly to music since the age of 11, with a degree in production bolstering his technical abilities and a history of event promotion in Cambridge and London, a close understanding of rave culture is deeply ingrained in his mind.
He has already garnered support on BBC Radio 1 (by way of guest mixes for both Mistajam and Logan Sama with Killa P), BBC 1xtra, Rinse FM & more, and delivered support DJ duties for titans in the scene including Andy C, Shy FX, Rudimental and High Contrast. No stranger to large venues, the last year has seen Cardinal Sound perform at Fabric, Brixton Academy, Camden Assembly and Rye Wax, in addition to acclaimed festivals Lovebox, Secret Garden Party & Glastonbury. Spending every available moment in the studio perfecting 2019’s music is his priority - however, the show must go on, and Cardinal Sound isn’t looking to reduce momentum any time soon. Far from it...
