"Violet Soda", the album, is a natural evolution of "Here We Go Again" and "Tangerine" — both EPs released in 2018 — recorded with a consolidated lineup and chemistry that points to new and further ways beyond this record. It was produced by João Lemos (Molho Negro) and Alexandre Capilé (Sugar Kane, Ator Morto, Water Rats) at Costella studio (SP).
There are 9 songs that make time go by very fast, because they hold you and when you get attached to one, the next track comes. Personally, it refers to vibes like Weezer, Nirvana, Pixies and even darker ones like Verbena and Superdrag. The songs talk about personal matters and fantasies that go through Karen's mind, who always sings her feelings. I can highlight "I’m Trying", which comes out as the first single, the fun "I Don't Like This Song", "Girl!" with that drum intro as my favorite one, and "Scars," which closes the tracklist. But "Violet Soda" is an album that will each have its own.
