Micah Javon Cooper (born May 7, 1996) better known by his stage name Rich Kidd, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper and actor.
Born in Compton, California, he started his career in 2013, releasing the debut single titled Love More. Rich Kidd initially gained notable recognition following the release of his debut single, "Gotta now", which peaked at number 2 on the numberonemusic chart for 15 weeks and was played on Radio Disney by Radio Disney's Incubator program.
Micah J. Cooper was born on May 7, 1996 in Compton, California. When he was only eight years old, he watched the movie The Jacksons: An American Dream and fell in love with music. He spent most of his time at school trying to write his own music and become relevant. Micah moved to Mississippi with his parents, he got a small job working at the library, which earned him enough money to produce his first song. Micah sent the song to dozens of radio stations. At the same time, he was participating in his church choir and attending local talent shows, trying to make a name for himself. Someone at Disney heard the song and decided to add it to radio Disney's incubator program, which features upcoming musicians. He has then performed at several venues across the country including, The House Of Blues, Bradley Center and the Navy Pier. Apart from his work in the music industry, in 2014, he made his on-screen debut in The Purge: Anarchy as a Purger. Micah has cited Chris Brown, Drake and Bryson Tiller as influences.
