The songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer with Indonesian/Dutch roots took a one-year break from music to connect with his roots in Asia and Oceania. Deeply inspired he returned to create the music he grew up with, singing everything himself. This resulted in his first EP ‘BOY’ (2017). Leonard himself wrote and produced every song on this debut record. He went on to do an ambitious project with 9 musicians who never played together and recorded 3 new tracks in 48 hours, live on film: Live in 48 Hours (2018) The project gained attention from NPO Radio 2, Sofar Sounds. He performed at So What’s Next Jazzfestival and toured nationally with the Popronde and supported Aeris Roves and Steffen Morrison. His new three part- EP ‘MIMICRY’ is set to release in 2020, premiering on June 26th with the single ‘Kimono’.
