Wolves Esther's Mechanical Orchestra Version - Acoustic
In August 2017 Esther was invited to play with the Teenage Engineering Soundsystem at Haven music festival in Copenhagen.
Pontus Winnberg (Amason, Miike Snow etc) who was also playing with them, heard Esther play and sing for the first time. It made a strong impression on him, so he reached out to work together. It clicked from the start and they formed a mutual songwriting partnership where they both contribute equally to the collaboration. Esther has also worked with Jocke Åhlund, which is ironic as he's known her since she was in kindergarten.
As Esther's father is Crille Olsson (Fläskkvartetten) her childhood home was filled with musical instruments and she started playing at an early age. She started taking piano lessons at 6 and took up the drums a couple years later. She wasn't particularly obsessed with music but ended up going to a music school anyways, with classical percussion as her major. After playing classical music for the first couple of years, she decided to change tack to writing and performing her own music with vibraphone and vocals as her main instruments.
Esther has quickly become a true fixture in Stockholm's music community and has already collaborated on multiple recording sessions as a performer and co-writer.
