In 2012, he transferred to the University of Tennessee and eventually played his first gig later that year and he continued to play gigs around Knoxville and the UT campus until his graduation in the spring of 2016. Sam graduated with a degree in Finance. After a couple years of working in Finance, Sam moved to Nashville, TN from Knoxville to pursue a music career and start writing songs. He quickly emerged on the scene and played well known honky tonks on Broadway such as Rippy’s, Tootsies, Honky Tonk Central and BB Kings.
90s country artists such as Brooks and Dunn, Garth Brooks, Clint Black, and Travis Tritt are Sam’s greatest musical influences, along with a wide array of classic rock bands. These influences are evident in his songwriting and singing. He is currently recording three new singles and they are set to release later this year.
