On "Morning Light",

Juno Nominated artist Dayna Manning fulfills her destiny as Renaissance woman with the instrumentation of flute, violin, cello and French horn and the ideal setting for her artistry: chamber folk. The dozen songs that comprise the Stratford, Ontario native's fourth solo album are steeped in the maple syrup sentiment of Dayna's authentic Canadiana storytelling and lovingly arranged by cellist and Stratford Festival alumnus Ben Bolt-Martin. Album highlights include "Charlie Lake," the exhilaratingly romantic "You You You," a trio of centuries-old folk songs that includes "Peter Amberley," her stellar tribute to the Band's late keyboardist Richard Manuel "King Of The Background" and the joyful anthem "O Snow." "I feel like I've found my musical home right here in my hometown," declares Manning, who is simultaneously releasing her first song storytelling memoir, Many Moons, with Blue Moon Publishers.
