36? is an award-winning internationally touring art-rock band originally out of Calgary, AB. Their latest record Milk Mountain (released by Vancouver record label, File Under: Music) is a whimsically cacophonous exploration through existential madness and social dread. Pulling from songwriter Taylor Cochrane’s struggles with mental health, social anxiety and coming to terms with polyamory, the record is a raw and unapologetic vignette of a human being coming in to their own in these uncertain times. 36? now lives in a van on the road, spotted somewhere along the west coast/mid west of North America, continuing to explore, grow, dread and be whimsical wherever they end up.
What started from psychotic episodes from a bad combo of ADD medication in a bedroom in Calgary, Alberta Canada is now a roaming adventure in a van across Western North America hunkered down in a recording studio/multimedia creative bunker trying to figure out how to be a band in the roaring 20s version 2.0. We’re glad to have found you!
