One of the most stylish and sophisticated indie-dance duos on the French scene returns with new album Le Touch.
Once more, they join fire and ice, and unite darkness with light. Slove is the project of Julien Barthe aka Plaisir De France and After l'amour and Leo Hellden from Tristesse Contemporaine and Camp Claude. They mix their love for the flamboyance of yesterday's indie pop to the urgency of today's electronic music.
Their first album Le Danse released in 2011 immediately established the duo's unique identity, fueled by their taste for '90s indie pop melodies (Pale Saints, Slowdive, The Stone Roses among others) injected with a true electronic modernity. This peculiar mix resulted in a hedonistic, modern and sophisticated pop sound, in which the duo has perfectly blossomed from ever since.
One cannot ignore key-tracks such as this Carte Postale which forms the shape of a surreal and absurd trip - the perfect way to ignite the dancefloor - or Flash, accompanied by Sarah Rebecca.
Their second album Le Touch, released in March 2018, holds the promise of an addictive electronic journey for the dancefloors. It should be thought of as a burning heat wave that will help end the coming winter and start spring season with a warm feeling. <br>Performed by a wide range of guests, Le Touch is a multi-faceted album - sometimes poetic mellow-pop, dance and techno, sometimes deep, blues, cold wave and ambient.
