“My introversion and need for self-expression are why Mree was created,” she says. “This is a vessel for a quiet person like myself to show everybody I have something to offer. At the same time, it’s a safe space for other quiet people.”
That space continues to grow rapidly. Since emerging in 2011, she has attracted a devout fan base via several successful independent releases —Grow (2011), Winterwell (2013) and the Empty Nest EP (2015). In addition, she’s generated over 12 million cumulative YouTube views. Her music can be heard everywhere from WB’s Beauty and the Beast and FOX’s Bones to ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and Degrassi: The Next Generation. Making waves, Target sought her out for its My Kind of Holiday campaign, while she lent her voice to the Virtual Reality game Luna. Along the way, she’s also earned acclaim from NPR, American Songwriter, Magnet Magazine, and many others.
