Shelley grew up in a religious community. As a teenager she questioned her Jewish tradition with it’s strict rules and rituals which led her to become a staunch human rights advocate through her music. Over spirited, soaring vocals she examines issues of freedom, tribalism, and feminism.
Shelley has released 6 original studio projects including; 'Little March' - a jazzy-folky collaboration with legendary Adam Levy (Norah Jones/Tracy Chapman); Protest album 'An Atheist Album' which saw her perform live to 30,000+ in Washington DC with Bad Religion, WuTanClan, Eddie Izzard and Tim Minchin; and 'An Easy Escape' with lead single 'Morocco' sparking international news. Her music has received airplay across Australia, Europe and the US.
