Kaaoksen Ystävät (formerly known as Jukka Ruostila & Kaaoksen Ystävät) was founded in 2010 in Tampere, Finland.
With a fair amount of determination the band claimed to bring back the ”rock” to Finnish rock music with their ’90s-flavoured grunge sound.
Jukka Ruostila & Kaaoksen Ystävät released critically acclaimed EP ”Punainen aurinko” in 2011 and a single ”Ei ihan vielä/Hiekkalinnat” in 2012 before they decided to shorten the band’s name simply as Kaaoksen Ystävät (eng. Friends of Chaos).
In 2014 Kaaoksen Ystävät released their debut album ”Loppu” which peaked at #8 on Finnish rock chart. The single ”Pietari Brahe” got frequent spins in Finnish radio and the music video followed later on fall to underline the atmosphere of the song.
After the debut album band has released two singles ”Älä korjaa minua” in 2016 and ”Liikaa rakkautta” in 2017 which were produced by one of the most legendary Finnish rock producer, Hiili Hiilesmaa.
Dozens of gigs around Finland and several releases later, bringing back the ”rock” to Finnish rock music is still the mission which Kaaoksen Ystävät continues to fulfil.<br>
