Behind Galifardeu Atòmic lies a Catalan singer/songwriter musician called Jordi Pérez. Born as a drummer in Bcn, he is a former member of The Linn Youki Project (Bcore).
Since 2014 Galifardeu Atòmic has developed his own musical style based on a unique acoustic, organic and mediterranian sound with hints of psychedelia, which he defines as galifardian phsychedelic dark folk. Spoken word and his own poetry also play an important role in his music. He spent most of the 90's living in London, and had a chance to perform in several important venues like The Marquee, Camden Jazz Cafe or The Mean Fiddler amongst many others. In those years he supported bands like Skunk Anansie, Héroes del Silencio or Loquillo y los Trogloditas (in Spain) and also auditioned for The Godfathers, who in spite of digging his drumming they didn't take him on board due to his strong commitment with a band called Black Mariah which became his main project in England throughout that decade. He also learned a lot about music and gain huge amounts of experience jamming with musicians from bands like Hanoi Rocks, Cheap'n'Nasty or Asian Dub Foundation.
