Formed in January 2016 and based on the Island of Jersey, Astral Cloud Ashes is
Antony Walker: Guitar, Vocals, Bass, Drums, Synths.
Jason Neil: Backing Vocals.
Astral Cloud Ashes were first featured on BBC 6music in April 2016 by both Tom Robinson and Steve Lamacq.
Since then they have released Debut album ‘Too Close to the Noise Floor’ on 11th July 2016, and released their first and only music video (filmed in Dartmoor late summer 2016)
Often described as alternative/emo, Astral Cloud Ashes are unsigned and list their influences as Now Now, Tubelord, The Cure, Pavement, The Pixies and Eels.
Currently recording the follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut on the Island of Jersey, the band released the first of the upcoming material, 'Moonphase Bloom' on 7/7/17. Upon release, the new track gained valuable air time on various Radio stations in the UK and in Italy. The song was also voted winner in the weekly Audition listeners poll on Amazing Radio landing the track further UK (and USA) airplay in August. The song continued to garner attention late into August and early September 2017 with the “macabre pop-punk song” (ElllenWood Blog - 1st Sep) eventually finding favour at BBC Radio 1, with Huw Stephens playing it on his show on 23rd of August.
