Musically, Bergen, on the east cost of Norway, is such a place. And Bjarte dePresno Borthen, aka dePresno, is such a talent. He grew up in an environment where music was omnipresent. Given his first guitar at age four he started writing his own songs in his pre-teens. With unique depth and dimension in both voice and lyrics he was discovered by the detectors of the music business, management and A&R, whilst still in school. dePresno spent the next few years carving a name for himself as an artist and songwriter with singles like “Souvenir", “Mr Big”, "Wanderers" and "Too Fucked Up To Love You" as well as critically acclaimed EP’s Forever (2016) and The Last Of The Romantics (2017). 2019 saw the release of not one, but two, albums: "Technicolor" and its companion piece "Monochrome". In addition, he released "In Comes Christmas", a standalone track for the holidays.
dePresno also sparkles when performing live, whether on national TV or radio, or on stage. In addition to festivals such as The Great Escape, by:Larm, Eurosonic, Trondheim Calling and Reperbahn Festival, he has opened for a-ha in front of an audience of 16.000, and AURORA throughout Europe, as well as having his own headline tours in Germany and Norway.
