Gian Luca Nigro is a pianist and composer born on April 16, 1987 in Agropoli (Salerno), Italy. His interest in music began very early, pushing him to start studying the piano at the “G. Martucci” conservatory in Salerno. The first composition projects he worked at concerned theatrical performances and, over the years, he experimented different languages, trying to maintain and enrich his personal expressive dimension. Since 2009 he has been constantly working as music consultant and composer for TV, producing soundtracks, theme music and jingles for programs as MasterChef Italia (Sky Uno), Così Lontani Cosi Vicini (Rai1), Hotel Da Incubo (NOVE channel), Monte Bianco (Rai2), I Soliti Ignoti – Il Ritorno (Rai1), Pechino Express (Rai2), PresaDiretta (Rai3). In these late years, he composed various music soundtracks for many projects as the documentary “Awlad – Hesiak Gainditu” (2019), the movie “Socialmente Pericolosi” (2018) with Vinicio Marchioni and Fortunato Cerlino - co-produced by Rai Cinema - and the documentary “Il Caso Craxi” (2020) for Sky. At the moment he is intensely collaborating with several directors, producers, publishers and television companies and, in addition, he is recording his own instrumental music album, expected to be released soon.
