After picking up traction from the local scene and gaining a following, the three haphazardly recorded the Call Me (By Name) EP in one week. While the debut release was met with praise, the band felt that they wanted to move in a fuzzier, darker direction.
The culmination of this new mindset lead to And the Walls…, released in 2018. The sonic change and DIY work ethic clearly paid off, earning the group opening spots for national acts such as X Ambassadors, The Joy Formidable, The Academic, and Sir Sly to name a few. Good Fiction’s live performances have consistently created a buzz, as The Alt Weekly states, “their sound begs to tear the room apart. You can easily picture yourself in front of a live show as it all crashes over you as the speakers combust.” The band has hinted at yet another release within 2018, and touring to follow.
