Born in Las Vegas, Nevada and raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Powell grew up singing in casinos, doing regional theater, and acting in short films. At 12, he picked up a guitar and started writing his first songs. By 17, he had moved to Los Angeles and started to dabble in self-producing his own work. To set him apart from other producer-artists, Powell focuses on a sensual, soulful style of pop music that deals even-handedly in self-reflecting, brutally honest lyrics and visceral emotion.
In 2017, Powell released his debut EP, "Ink", which focused on his struggles as a young, independent artist, trying to find himself in his personal life and his own sound in the studio.
In 2018, Powell collaborated with Guatemalan DJ, Majurakk on the track "All I See Is You" where he wrote the lyrics and melody. He also released his single "Lover" as well as the remix with Majurakk a few months later.
In mid-2019, Powell released yet another self-produced single, "No Vacancy" with the Pop artist Abigail Barlow.
