ELEVNS are special musicians taking inspiration from innovators like Steve Jobs and the street artist KAWS. They see technology as a means to develop music and creativity; something to be embraced and unafraid to ignite the joy of new discovery in the listener.
Their joint love of Kaytranada, Snakehips, GRADES, J Dilla, 20Syl, Oshi, Flume and Brasstracks is obvious in their stunning collection of beats. Over the past year they have been carefully selecting some of their favourite artists and collaborators, approaching them via friends and Instagram to create their debut EP “Faces and Places” embodying the catchy, diverse and international nature of their sound.
You are nothing without your live performances and ELEVNS are well aware of this. You can expect anything from a bouncy "2-person" show complete with live video all the way to a full band spectacular. Their fans are no less committed; they have been known to travel from other countries to London to see this young band play, and for good reason.
Last year they attracted the attention of ROLI after attending a conference about creativity including a talk between Pharrell Williams and ROLI founder Roland Lamb in New York. They demonstrated such skill and ingenuity that they now have the backing of ROLI (and later Soundbrenner) who supply them with equipment.
