With no formal training and no idea how to pursue a career in music, he abandoned it momentarily and moved to Southern California where he studied to become a filmmaker. Later he would find a career as a cinematographer, photographing music videos and commercials, but after a few years of traveling for work, he became disillusioned with the industry and found himself desperate to capture his own emotional narrative.
In 2015, he moved to New York City, becoming enthralled in recording music once more. In 2018, Peaks debuted with 'Patterns'; a hypnotic 5-track EP, utilizing a plethora of analog synths, field recordings, and layered, breathy vocals.
XFDR Mag called the EP, “an electronic odyssey”, with “ a great sense of emotion and airiness”. TooMuchLove Mag in Miami embraced the brooding release with open arms, describing it as “moody, full of textures, but you can see the light at the end of the tunnel”. In Los Angeles, he performed a special two night residency of 'Patterns' at the esteemed Hotel Cafe in Hollywood.
Peaks’ returns with his second installment, 'The Infrageist', a 3 track ep, released on Bad Owl Records.
