    Last Night Boogie
If you see on the Légué’s harbour, Clément Palant and Xavier Soulabail, you will have no trouble to imagine those two pirates returning from faraway expedition, their boots still smoldering from the ashes of BUCK, their previous ship.
Here they are, blazing, defending Broken Waltz, that takes us for a new trip, stormy and refine, colorful and surprising, rough and romantic. The sinister and opressing Broken Waltz’ boogie cause cold fever, cold like the Joy Division remains. Le duo The maleficient duet takes today the back road surveyed by Grinderman by Nick Cave, the tom waits’ bastringue, the Cramps’ rock-a-boogie or the Suicide synth-blues.
One with the drums and his voice, the other with a bass, they use the elements mixed with fine taste and strong references, with wise sound traffics, to offer us two LPs in quick succession, full of anglo saxons storms that bring their mind-blowing winds up here.
Saxophone, organ, a female voice sometime rejoin this deliberatly claimed anti-guitar duet, a way to enforce a fearsome claw on these thundering creations came straight from a glittering artists workshop. The words and the tormented voice resonate under a disturbing moonlight in a mysterious land of happiness… And disasters.
