Featured Artist of the week on BBC INTRODUCING Georgey tonight.
“I play and write an eclectic mix of folk, rock, indie, gospel, progressive rock, many songs in the form of poetical spirituals.
I love telling stories in song.
I am driven to explore life, unravel myself and the things around me artistically, attempting to open up honest communication.
Much of my debut album "Kites and Chasms" was written as letters to my kids, on issues of love, loss, trust, rejection and acceptance.
More recently I have been busy writing and recording a new 4 track EP called Press Red, soon to be released (2018').
I wrote “Press Red” as an activist song, raising awaresness and campaigning to "end violence against women".
The single "Press Red" was released as a single on 25th November 2017 (International day for the elimination of violence against women).
“Press Red” song features artist/vocalist “Elaine Hanley”.
My next single to be released off the EP is on 19/4/18 called "Bryan Glancy".
Bryan was one of Manchester’s music legends that was gone far to early.
I penned the song as a personal letter to Bryan of my own unresolved grief, and an overdue desire to honour him as a friend and as a local artist.
