The son of immigrant parents from Paraguay and Mexico, he was born in the city of Quebec and was raised in the Beauport borough of the city. In 2001, he moved to the city of Montréal where his career started.
Singing first in French, Boogát moved to Spanish after playing with the electronic music producer Poirier and the Latin music group Roberto Lopez Project; discovering a new world of possibilities that opened the way for artists such as La Yegros, Uproot Andy, El Hijo De La Cumbia, Radio Radio, Lido Pimienta, Pierre Kwenders, El Dusty, G-Flux, Sotomayor, Super San, Mati Zundel and El Remolon, among others.
In 2013 he released "El Dorado Sunset", his first Spanish album. The album won two Felix Awards for "Best World Music Album" and "Producer of the Year". Since then he has been touring Canada, United States, Mexico, Argentina, Germany, Holland, France, Cheka Republic and Spain.
"Neo-Reconquista", which includes collaborations with Andrés Oddone, Frikstailers, Miss Bolivia, Niña Dioz and Lemon Bucket Orchestra, was just released in 2017.
