The Influencers started in 2010 when Evan Yan wrote his first song after being tired of playing other people’s music with the help of Steven Suarez on drums.
They soon realized that their brand of music was influenced by their eclectic musical tastes and immediately wrote their first album despite no audience to release it to.
While recording their next album, a few YouTubers began to feature their music. They struck gold when their friend Danny Casale (Coolman Coffee Dan) debuted their next album, Running In Circles, on his channel. Within hours of the video going online, hundreds of fans combed through their two unlistened albums, “Deepwater Horizon” & “Running in Circles”.
Over the next few years they honed their craft, explored and learned about what it actually took to make an album. With the help of nearly every other musician in their Long Island suburb, Evan has found all kinds of musicians to collaborate with and help him express his songs about growing up and being different, living as normal of a life with a terminally ill mother all while trying to navigate coming of age with loss and finding love for everything in the world. In 2014, the duo put out one final album, "Valhalla".
After 5 years on hiatus, The Influencers signed with UK Label, Tonotopic Records, signed the band in November 2018 and put out singles throughout 2019.
Their latest single aired on TouchFM’s Show First Break on the radio in the UK. They are currently working on more!
