That was it for me, once I had Mom's approval, I took the music thing and ran with it- ran with it all the way to Middle Tennessee State University where I studied songwriting for a few years and grew the balls to drop out and really grind at it. Let me just say this though: I found my voice while in college..like my VOICE. My friend introduced me to D'Angelo (damn), and I started listening to Daniel Caesar, Noname, Musiq Soulchild, frickin Kirk Franklin...they didn't tell me bout none of that growing up in Alabama.
I started writing and found myself deep in rnb, gospel melodies. Writing was already a love of mine, so once I figured out how to put the two together, my dream became tangible. That's where I'm at today, turning my music dream into a reality in Nashville, TN, one step, one song at a time.
