Kidsinger Jim has been singing exclusively for audiences of children and families since 1992, with over 4,300 performances to date.
Jim honed his vocal chops as the lead singer of a progressive rock band in Austin, Texas in the late 1980's. He also began writing children's songs during his time in Texas. After returning to his native state of Maryland in 1989, Jim got married, started a family, and decided to focus on performing for children. Drawing inspiration from his young daughter and son, he began composing more children's songs that remain the foundation of his live performances today. Recognizing that children's music shows don't always translate well to larger venues, Jim created his "Big Barn Puppets" puppet show in 2008. Currently Jim produces two events each week at Eastern Market in Washington, D.C. To learn more about Kidsinger Jim and the Big Barn Puppets, visit his website at www.ChildrensMusic.com.
