After finding and developing his passion for writing music in high school, he attended community college for a short time before dropping out to pursue his music career seriously. Hungry to push his art to the world, Before he knew it, he had completed 3 mixtapes worth of music over that fall and winter. These projects ignited his momentum, and he soon was introduced to a producer and engineer by the name of Jack Flash, who was hot off the trail of producing one of Chicago's hottest summer records, "B.O.N." by King Louie. Jack has also worked with other buzzing Chicago-bred talent like Katie Got Bands and Lil Durk. The two brewed up amazing musical chemistry that resulted in JayLifted recording his first in-studio mixtape, "Lifted Meets World", and soon thereafter, an EP called "Sooner Than Later". That summer, JayLifted graced the cover of Chicago-based hiphop culture magazine, Level Up, alongside other top names in Chicago, Toni Romiti and Saba Pivot.
"Around the City" stands as one of his most popular visual singles to date. "My family comes from Belize, basically a third world country. I feel like I'm the generation that can prove dreams and goals can be achieved with the right work ethic," he says -- and with his drive, work ethic, and passion, JayLifted is well on his way to doing just that.
