Their sound is described as a mix of r&b, lo-fi hip-hop, and indie pop. @Ximena Vasquez and @Fernanda Perochena met in 2013 when they participated in the peruvian version of The Voice. After three years of working in the music industry separately, they reunited when Ximena needed a background vocalist for her solo project and reached out to Fernanda. Since then, they became close friends and started writing songs together. Soon after, Alonso Bermejo, peruvian bass player and beat maker, offered to collaborate with them, and that is how the project Hela Freya was born. After writing a few more songs, they called peruvian producer, Buho Lozano, and started working on the production of the songs. They released their first single called "Time" on December 7th 2018. Currently, they are working on the release of their first EP.
