Duff was born in New York City to a family of classical musicians and raised in rural New Jersey. Long travels yielded the debut 400 Miles, recorded with bass player Rick Barrio Dill (Vintage Trouble) and drummer George Bernardo. It was named a top release for 2005 by Music Connection Magazine. “Suddenly” was used on MTV.
The jubilant “Good Things” followed in 2008 on Single Recordings with contributions by Rick Barrio Dill, Mike Stinson, Tony Gilkyson, Tommy Rickard, Taras Prodaniuk and others.
In 2014, Duff began issuing a series of recordings showcasing stripped down acoustic guitar and voice. The record “My Story Is The Same” (2017), produced by Ted Wulfers and Todd Herfindal, features 9 such tracks. Pop melodies, a driving rhythmic style and soulful topics including love, addiction and redemption.
Duff is currently at work on a fourth solo acoustic record in Los Angeles. Duff and Tom Bishel are also releasing an EP under the name Origin Story, due out early 2019.
