Alpha Toshineza is visual artist and a francophone MC from Winnipeg.
He started rapping in the 90s with various rap groups in Luxembourg (Europe). He quickly developped into a great live perfomer and recorded 3 albums. He has worked with various great hiphop artists such as Oddisee (Mello Music Group) or Kev Brown, and was an opening act for De La Soul. In 2017, Alpha released his 3rd album “Jazz Inuit“ a boombap album that tackles social, racial and spiritual issues in a poetic way. This rich album earned him a nomination at the Western Canadian Music Awards for “Francophone Artist of the Year ». He also won a SOCAN Price for Best Francophone Song for his single “Dis-moi si tu maimes”. Alpha loves to collaborate with other artists (Kelly Bado, Crabskull, S-One, Justin Lacroix, Selci, Joanna Majoko, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra). Alpha is currently working on a new album.
