Having spent some time honing her craft in Brooklyn, New York, Lydia has moved on from her singer-songwriter acoustic roots in favor of more glossy, synth sounds whilst keeping her deeply personal lyrics and themes at the forefront of her music. Taking inspiration from acts like Sigrid and Maggie Rogers, she incorporates elements of slick electronic production with gritty guitars. Lydia currently records, produces and releases her music independently, collaborating with producers in Berlin, London, Tokyo and the US. She has performed at We’ve Only Just Begun Festival, Ireland Music Week and Other Voices.
Her music has been played across various radio stations in Ireland and she has also received the nod from the acclaimed BBC Introducing team. Spotify playlisting includes New Music Friday UK, A Breath of Fresh ÉIRE and Poptronix.
2020 is an even bigger year for the pop artist as she has been featured on both Ticketmaster and Hot Press "Hot for 2020” list. She will play a headline show upstairs in Whelan’s on March 13th 2021, in association with MCD.
