Penny Eyes aim to deliver all the infatuating riffs, big choruses, punchy guitar tones and alluring basslines that were iconic to their 90’s British pop rock idols such as Oasis and The Verve, combined with a refreshing songwriting style that can only come from growing up in Newquay, your not so average British seaside town.
Formed last year by Longtime friends Harry Bird (Lead Vocals / Guitar), Jack Clinton (Drums / BVs) & Adam Barbery (Bass), the band soon stumbled upon Ed Perkins (Lead Guitar) from Bristol. The relatable subjects tangled up in each song represents a new generation in today’s complicated society groups. Penny Eyes sing of hope and chaos, of love and loss, all wrapped up in a tightly cohesive outfit. With their unique interpretation of punchy indie rock with the likes of The Kooks and The Strokes that flooded their highly seasonal youth and recent acts like Sam Fender, this year they are set to make waves.
Lots of new music in the pipeline for 2020 starting with their new single 'Jealous Boy' to be released this spring.
