Goddamn Electric Bill is the solo project of Jason Torbert.
Back in 2004, after 7 years in the punk rock band Cigar, Torbert was playing bass in a dysfunctional rock band. Needing to find a better musical outlet, he started making his own songs and posted them on MySpace.
At the time, Goddamn Electric Bill was nominated for multiple San Diego music awards and was featured in several local publications. Soon after, music placements started to roll in. Torbert even had the honor to work with Roger O’Donnell, keyboardist of The Cure, on Goddamn Electric Bill's first full-length album (Swallowed By the Machines) in Devon, England. Over the years, Torbert has had music on many TV series, films, and even composed for a film that was in competition at The Sundance Film Festival in 2010.
Every single dollar Torbert has made with Goddamn Electric Bill, since the beginning, has gone right back into itself. "Thank you to everyone that has purchased a CD/MP3/Vinyl Record/T-Shirt or streamed a song online. You’ve made it possible for me to continue doing what I love."
