JVMIE’s incredibly versatile voice is just as at home on her latest, stripped down, emotive releases as belting out a dance anthem.
Born & raised on Australia’s Gold Coast, Jamie Lee Wilson started singing at 7. By the time she graduated high school she didn't even have time to attend her prom as she had a performance on the same night. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Voice at the Conservatorium of Music, all the while honing her song-writing craft. She spread her wings to London where a friend introduced her to the dance scene. Fuel to the Fire with Dutch producer Jesse Voorn featured on Dave Audé’s radio show & a month later she was in the studio with Dave in LA recording what would become their US Billboard Club Chart #2 smash, “Back 2 Love”.
Having worked on high tempo tracks with dance legends such as Grammy nominated Todd “The God” Terry, Grammy nominated Stonebridge & Grammy winner Dave Audé, Jamie Lee Wilson decided to start a new down-tempo project under the moniker, JVMIE.
Her cover of Massive Attack’s “Teardrop” brought the world famous Buzz Charts to tears. She has performed at festivals in the USA, the UK & Australia & opened for the likes of Steve Aoki in Japan, Kelly Rowland in Australia & Kaskade in Amsterdam. "I heard you singing on stage, absolutely singing your heart out & I was like, she’s got a f***ing great voice! The whole crowd was into you, I was really impressed, you really stole the show!” Markus Schulz – GrooveCruise Miami
