LATASHA, formerly known as Latasha Alcindor aka L.A., is an independent multimedia artist based out of NYC.
She began her fluid musical journey at Wesleyan University as a Hip Hop spoken word playwright and poet. Through her form free art, she finds inspiration by using her roots as a catalyst allowing her to explore all genres from Hip Hop, Soul, Dance & Electronica.
Her energetic calls and performance-based presence have opened doors for her to perform at events like: SXSW, A3C, and NXNE as well as opening for Kanye West, Q-Tip, Big Sean and Ghostface Killah. In 2017, LATASHA became the first Hip Hop Artist in Residence at New York's unparalleled artist-led venue, National Sawdust.
