There are magical places that deserve to be contemplated and represent a bridge between the visible and the invisible.
Federico Leocata was born on the slopes of one of these, the Mount Etna. His music is like the snow that covers the top of a threatening but only imaginary volcano. Not surprisingly, among the contrasts of color, the most 'sound' is that between cold and heat. Audio-visual artist active for fifteen years, he has focused his research on a profound analysis of the human psyche, synchronized to a flow of sounds and images. Discovered by Heinrich Mueller, already involved in the Drexciya and Dopplereffekt projects, hit by some disturbing electro sounds, he released his first EP, “Perfido Incanto”, in 2010 for the label WéMè Records, before performing in Italy, Greece and Belgium. Between 2012 and 2013, he completed his affirmation within the European electronic scene with releases such as “Phantasmo Obscuro”, “Zarathustra” and “The Man From Another Place”, published by the likes of Frustated Funk, Abstract Forms and Last Known Trajectory. The latest 12'' entitled “Zunachst”, a vinyl by Central Processing Unit, the opportunity to collaborate with the singer Beta Evers, recruited by the same Gerald Donald to characterize side-projects such as Zwischenwelt and Gedankenexperiment. Further outputs to follow a melodic creativity, but in dark colors.
