Audrey and Noah (formerly of Slowshine) met in January of 2017 at Stacks Espresso Bar in Albany, New York.
The two hit it off talking about the Albany music scene and it's lack of femme participation. The following week they wrote the song In the Shadow of Two Gunmen, Pt. 1 in Noah's living room. With Alex Brooks on Bass and then Ethan Sullivan on drums they formed the femme-fronted Albany aggregate you probably know if you're reading, as Hate Club. It was only three months after their initial meeting that their debut EP, No, Seriously came out on bee side cassettes with the help of local heros, and Dan's, (Dan Paoletti and Dan Maddalone). Some four months after that Hate Club released the single In the Shadow of Two Gunmen, Pt. 2 before embarking on a ten day tour. (Jay Hayman played drums for this recording). The band remains active and plans on releasing more music before the years end.
