Seeing his early rise on the underground SoundCloud scene, Zaaberg has had a hand in shaping what is now a burgeoning sub-genre of Hip-Hop known as Lo-fi, which centers around moody, atmospheric & low-fidelity sample chops with MPC-style, almost electronic-sounding drumbreaks, akin to those pioneered by J. Dilla, Madlib, MF DOOM, et .al. Over the years, Zaaberg slowly gained recognition from projects such as the moody, spaced-out ‘Sunset Melancholia’ instrumental series and the heavily experimental EP, ‘Nibiru X’, with the latter sparking the interest of Hip-Hop artists such as Mick Jenkins.
Moving away from the Lo-fi scene, Zaaberg has since then experimented with genres such as Alternative R&B/Hip-Hop and Trip Hop and has expanded his artistic capabilities to rap, singing & song-writing, even engineering his own songs from start to finish.
Back in Denmark, Zaaberg has been the main producer of up-and-coming Danish-Iraqi Recording Artist saint d'meso
, heavily experimenting within the genres of Alternative Trap & Hip-Hop.
